πŸ† What Makes Vose Street Sound Different?

βœ… Custom drum tracks recorded with top-tier gear in an acoustically tuned room

βœ… Big, warm, organic mixes β€” never over-processed

βœ… Comfortable, creative environment that keeps the focus on your music

I bring major-label experience to every project, whether it’s for an indie singer, a commercial, or a big TV score.

πŸ“ What Files Do You Need Before the Session?

  • Share a Dropbox (or similar) link with your stereo file or multitracks.

  • Include the tempo for each song.

  • If possible, provide a version with demo drums AND a version without, plus any notes or reference tracks for tone and vibe.

πŸ₯ What to Bring for In-Person Recording

If I’m drumming for you:

  • I provide all hardware and top-tier drum kits β€” you can preview them here: Studio Gear List.

If recording with your drummer:

  • Bring their full kit (required if a “heavy hitter”) or just their preferred snare/cymbals/pedal.
  • Let me know in advance so I can prep the room. Review your choices here: Studio Gear List.

If recording vocals, guitar, bass, or keys:

  • Bring your instruments, amps (depending), high-end active DI’s (Reddi, Avalon, etc.), and any pedals you like

  • I’ve got pro mics, basic DIs, and backline gear. See full list: Studio Gear List.

🎧 Do I Need In-Ears?

I have high-quality headphones available, but they don’t block out drum volume. If you have in-ear monitors, bring them β€” they give you the best experience, especially for drummers. The kit’s natural room sound is usually enough for most players. If you want drums in your headphone mix, just let me know β€” it’s possible but requires extra setup time.

πŸŽ™οΈ How Many Mics?

I use a 16-mic setup for maximum flexibility:
Kick In, Kick Out, Snare Top 1 & 2, Snare Bottom, Tom 1 & 2, Hi-Hat, Ride, 2 Overheads, Stereo Rooms, and a Lo-Fi Room mic β€” giving you plenty of tonal options at mix time.

πŸ“¦ How Are Files Delivered?

  • Dry but not raw:
I use light processing to shape the tone and phase of each drum for maximum quality β€” but I do not add reverb, compression bus FX, or room simulations (unless requested). You receive dry drum tracks that sound polished and ready for your mix engineer, but never raw, untreated mics that could compromise the final sound.

  • Format:
My standard delivery is 48 kHz, 24-bit WAV files, but I can adjust sample rate and bit depth if needed β€” just let me know in advance.

  • Approval & Revisions:
You’ll first receive a stereo drum mix with your guide track to approve the performance, tone, and feel. You can request revisions if needed. Once you approve and the payment is settled, I’ll deliver each individual multitrack file for you or your mix engineer.

  • Delivery Method:
Final drum multitracks are shared via Dropbox (or a similar file link) for easy download and backup.

πŸ’³ How Do Payments Work?

  • A credit card on file is required for all bookings.

  • Payment can be made via Zelle (preferred) or charged to your card on file.

  • Credit card payments incur a 3.95% processing fee.

  • For AirGigs and other freelance sites, I honor site-specific payment terms.

πŸ“ Do I Need a Waiver?

Yes β€” for in-person sessions, please print, sign, and bring this:
πŸ‘‰ Damage Waiver PDF

⏱️ How Long Does It Take?

  • In-person drums: Usually 2-4 hours per song, depending on set up/drum selection time.

  • Remote drums: Typically delivered within 12 hours of the scheduled session time.

  • Mixing: Drums = 1 day; full song = 1 week, with unlimited revisions.

πŸ’¬ How Do We Communicate?

I’m easy to reach by email, text, phone, or FaceTime before and after your session. Good communication = great music.
