Blake Paulson is a versatile musician, recognized as a session drummer, music producer, bandleader, educator, and author. With over 500 studio recordings, Blake has collaborated with notable artists such as Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato, as well as working with major studios like Netflix, Disney, and Paramount. He has also partnered with acclaimed producers and independent musicians, showcasing his extensive range in the industry.
Before the pandemic, Blake performed over 50 shows a year with artists including Hayley Orrantia, Coffey Anderson, and many others. He co-founded and managed the Backliners, an innovative team of LA musicians, from 2007 to 2015. In 2014, he established Unleashed Drum Studio (now Vose Street Sound), a premier recording and teaching facility, and in 2016, he co-founded the LA Session Group, a collective of top LA session musicians.
As an educator, Blake has inspired countless musicians through his Private Drum Lessons and his five award-nominated drum method books, including Drumset Coordination (Hal Leonard) and Groove Fundamentals (Hudson Music).

š FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need a drum set to start? No! Iāve taught many students who started with just sticks and a pad. A full set helps long-term but isnāt required to begin.
What ages do you teach? Most students are age 8+, but Iāve taught drummers as young as 6 and as old as 76.
When are lessons available? I teach 7 days a week between 9:30 AM and 7:30 PM. View live availability via the booking link.
What if I have to cancel? No problemājust give 24 hours’ notice and you wonāt be charged. You can reschedule anytime.
